Lived Places Publishing
Co-Founder and Publisher
We introduced Lived Places Publishing in April 2021 to expand the range of course readings from underrepresented voices and to support affordability in educational materials. Each Lived Places Publishing book explores the intersection of social identity and place, delivered in collections led by faculty from across the world. And our collections are delivered to educational institutions, via the library, without usage restriction, inclusive of interlibrary loan, with selected open access titles, and with regionally sensitive pricing.

Big Issues in Academic Publishing: My Podcast Interview with IPG
I was interviewed on the IPG Podcast on some of the big issues in academic publishing at the moment, especially around library delivery and access. Listen to the 15-min episode here.
Prior Publishing Career
My publishing career began in 2001 at Pearson Education, with a role culminating as editor-in-chief for business publishing. In my years at Pearson Education, I launched more than 10 first editions. In 2008 I founded Business Expert Press to bring applied, concise ebooks for executive education to higher education. Today Business Expert Press has published more than 1000 titles. In more recent years I led streaming video and ebook platforms for Alexander Street and ProQuest, but my heart was always calling me back to educational publishing.
